On
the move - brand new Centre of Excellence
Advanced Electronics have moved into a brand new
Centre of Excellence based in Claycliff, Barnsley. The 4,000
sq ft site will allow Advanced to carry out EMC testing, approve
products as well as carry out training. The relocation from
its previous Centre of Excellence based at Innovation Way,
also in Barnsley is a great step forward for the company. The
bigger site is required to house Advanced’s growing commitment
to R&D. |

Our
website has been updated
We
have just redesigned our website, making the whole
site easier to navigate. Our popular downloads section
has been streamlined to fit
onto
one page and we have also added a project case studies
area on the news page.
Here you can see where some of our panels are installed around the
world
and the type of peripheral devices that are networked
to them.

Fire
panels stand up against electromagnetic field testing
Advanced’s
Mx4400 fire panel has undergone high electromagnetic
testing and passed with flying colours.
The latest 3G Mobile phones operate at frequencies beyond those specified for
immunity standards used for fire alarm control systems. These can potentially
corrupt panels and set off false alarms.
The Mx4400 panel was tested using 3G frequencies and very high electromagnetic
field strengths at 30V/m. (Normal testing is only to
withstand 10V/m). We are
pleased to announce all equipment passed
the test. Copies of the certificate
are available on request. |
