The
Managing Director and Production Director from a
well known Japanese Multi-National recently
visited the factory. After being given a tour of
the shop floor by Chris Marston, they both said that
we had ‘by far and away the cleanest,
most well organised control panel manufacturing operation
they had seen’.
This is quite an accolade from a company that has for some
time lead the way in large volume high quality manufacturing
in Japan, Europe and North America. Chris and his lean manufacturing
team are clearly doing an excellent job.

Guy in Toon!
We
are pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Taylor
to the position of Technical Support Engineer. Mark
will be joining our internal sales support team to
assist with product support and training, He has
worked within the fire industry for the last 18 years
and was recently employed in a similar role within
Kidde Products.

Firex
South
We would like to thank everyone who
took the time to visit our stand at Sandown last month.
The exhibition attracted a record number of visitors
from both the UK and overseas, which kept Ian and his
sales managers busy on both days demonstrating the
products and fielding questions from clients and end
users.
We are all now looking forward to our next UK exhibition
which will be Firex North in October. This years venue
will be in the lovely market town of Harrogate. Please

Steve
Carroll was once again on his travels last month.
This time he was in Eastern Europe and while he was
there he called in to see Emporium our representative
in Romania who promptly pressed him into helping
out on their stand at the local Trade Fire Exhibition.
The exhibition was well attended and by all accounts
is the Romanian equivalent to our Firex.
He had a busy time and was impressed by the levels of interest
in intelligent fire control systems shown by the local
population.

Projects
Addressable Emergency Lighting …
We
are delighted to announce the completion (with Chubb
Fire Ltd) of the addressable emergency lighting project
at one of Cambridge’s most prestigious museums.
The
installation has a single Lx-9000 control panel monitoring
over 300 luminaires reporting back to
a Central PC running Pc-NeT remote logging
software -
ensuring efficient, cost effective monitoring, testing
and maintenance.
